How to Use the Jasper Slack Agent

Create on-brand content without leaving your workflow.

Your marketing team already lives in Slack. It’s where campaigns get kicked off, where feedback loops happen in real time, and where “can someone draft a quick version of this?” turns into a 30-minute detour.

What if that detour didn’t exist?

The Jasper Slack Agent brings an AI marketing agent directly into your team’s workspace, with full access to your Jasper IQ assets and the ability to search your entire Slack workspace for context. Instead of switching tools to brainstorm headlines, draft copy, or generate a landing page, you can @mention Jasper in any Slack channel and get on-brand content back in seconds. Jasper autonomously chains together steps like searching channels, pulling brand voice, and generating content in a single flow.

In this guide, we’ll walk through what the Jasper Slack Agent does, how to set it up, and the use cases enterprise marketing teams find most valuable.

What is the Jasper Slack Agent?

The Jasper Slack Agent is an agentic integration that uses the Jasper MCP and the Slack MCP together to bring Jasper’s full capabilities into the place where your team already collaborates. It’s an AI agent that can autonomously search your Slack workspace, pull from your brand’s knowledge, and generate complete content in a single conversational flow.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

  • Full Jasper IQ access: All your IQ assets are available in Slack—Brand Voice, Knowledge Base, and every connected source. It’s the same brand intelligence that powers the full Jasper platform, now accessible without leaving your Slack workspace.
  • Full Slack workspace search: Jasper can search your entire Slack workspace, channels, documents, and canvases, and use that context to generate smarter, more relevant content.
  • Agentic multi-step workflows: Ask Jasper to do something complex, like “summarize the last 3 posts in #launches and write a tweet in our brand voice,” and it will chain together the steps autonomously: search the channel, retrieve your brand voice, and generate the output.
  • Brand voice: Every output reflects your brand’s tone, style, and guidelines, even when generated from a quick Slack message.
  • Free-form generation: Just talk to Jasper conversationally. Ask it to brainstorm, rewrite, expand, or summarize, no template required.

The result is an AI agent that’s always in the channel, with full access to both your brand context and your Slack workspace, ready to help your team move from idea to draft without breaking their flow.

Who is it for?

The Jasper Slack Agent is currently available to Jasper customers with API access. It’s designed for marketing teams that:

  • Spend significant time in Slack collaborating on campaigns and content
  • Want to reduce the friction of switching between tools for content generation
  • Need every output on-brand, even for quick first drafts
  • Are looking to embed AI into their existing workflows rather than adopting a new tool

If your team already uses Jasper for content creation, the Slack Agent is the fastest way to make AI a natural part of your daily workflow. No new logins, no new tabs, just Jasper where you already work.

How to set up the Jasper Slack Agent

Getting started only takes a few minutes:

Step 1: Navigate to your Workspace Settings

Log in to your Jasper account and go to Workspace Settings > Developer Tools > Slack Agent.

Step 2: Authenticate with Jasper and Slack

The agent will ask you to OAuth to both Jasper and Slack. Make sure you’re logged into the Jasper workspace you want to use. Whatever workspace you’re signed into will be the one the agent pulls IQ assets from. Then authorize the Slack connection to enable workspace search. Be sure to log in from the correct Jasper workspace before authenticating.

Step 3: Start using Jasper

Once installed, you can use Jasper in two ways:

  • @mention in any channel: Type @Jasper followed by your request in any channel or thread. Jasper will respond with generated content right in the conversation.
  • Direct message: Open Jasper in Slack and interact directly with it for more involved content generation.

Pro tip: The Jasper Slack Agent pulls from two sources: your Jasper IQ assets (Brand Voice, Knowledge Base, connected sources) and your Slack workspace (channels, docs, canvases). The more you’ve loaded into both, the stronger your outputs. Make sure your brand voice, key docs are in Jasper IQ, and your important context is accessible in Slack.

5 ways marketing teams are using Jasper in Slack

1. Turn Slack conversations into campaign briefs

You know the drill: a product launch thread in Slack spirals into dozens of messages with key details scattered across replies. Instead of manually synthesizing everything, @mention Jasper and ask it to pull the key themes into a structured campaign brief. Because Jasper can search your Slack workspace, it can find and synthesize content across channels, not just the thread you’re in.

Try this: “@Jasper Based on this thread, create a campaign brief with target audience, key messages, and suggested channels.”

2. Draft landing page copy mid-conversation

When your team is discussing a new feature or product launch, the momentum is right there in the channel. Ask Jasper to generate a first draft of landing page copy, headlines, body copy, or CTAs while the context is fresh.

Try this: “@Jasper Write a landing page for [product name] with a headline, 3 benefit sections, and a CTA. Use our brand voice.”

3. Generate social copy on the fly

Your social team sees a trending topic or a customer win in Slack. Instead of opening Jasper in a new tab, they can generate a LinkedIn post, a tweet thread, or an Instagram caption right where the news broke.

Try this: “@Jasper Write a LinkedIn post announcing [customer win]. Keep it professional but warm. Include a CTA to our case study.”

4. Brainstorm email subject lines and copy

Running an email campaign? Drop into a channel and ask Jasper to generate 10 subject line variations, or draft the full email body based on your brief. Your team can react, comment, and iterate, all without leaving Slack.

Try this: “@Jasper Give me 10 email subject lines for a webinar invite about [topic]. Tone should be curious, not salesy.”

5. Quick content reviews and rewrites

Paste a draft into Slack and ask Jasper to review it for brand voice alignment, suggest improvements, or rewrite it in a different tone. It’s like having a copyeditor on call 24/7.

Try this: “@Jasper Rewrite this paragraph to be more concise and match our brand voice: [paste text]”

Getting the most out of Jasper in Slack

For the best results with the Jasper Slack Agent, follow these tips:

  • Load your Knowledge Base first. Jasper’s Slack outputs are only as good as the context it has. Upload brand guidelines, product docs, messaging frameworks, and key content to Jasper IQ before you start.
  • Be specific in your prompts. The more context you give Jasper, the better the output. Include audience, tone, format, and length in your request.
  • Use it in threads. Jasper works great in threaded conversations. Ask follow-up questions, request revisions, or ask for variations without cluttering the main channel.
  • Combine with templates. For repeatable content types (social posts, email drafts, product descriptions), ask Jasper to use a specific template for consistent formatting.
  • Iterate in the channel. Don’t expect perfection on the first try. Use Jasper’s output as a strong starting point, then refine collaboratively with your team, right in Slack.

The Jasper Slack Agent is available now for Jasper customers with API access. To get started:
