Connect Semrush to Jasper, and your GEO Agent grounds its recommendations in real keyword, competitive, and SERP data.

Buyers no longer start on your website. They start in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, asking about your category and getting an answer built from whatever those engines can find and trust. Your brand is no longer only what you say it is. It is what AI says it is.
To influence the buyer, you now have to influence the model.
That is the job the GEO Agent was built for. It works alongside you in the GEO Hub to show where your brand stands in AI search, then helps you turn those findings into published, on-brand content that earns citations. Out of the box, it already reasons from your Hub data and the GEO expertise built into Jasper, so it knows what to prioritize and how to act.
Connecting Semrush adds another layer: the live search data behind each recommendation, so the guidance you act on comes with evidence you can see.
The GEO Hub tells you where your brand shows up in AI answers and what to fix first, and the GEO Agent turns that into on-brand content that moves your standing. On its own, the agent reasons from your Hub data and the GEO best practices built into Jasper are more than enough to point you in the right direction and start improving today.
Connecting Semrush sharpens the specifics. It adds the live search picture the agent can factor in: which keywords actually carry volume, how hard a term is to rank for, what a competitor is winning that you are not. With that data grounding its research, the content the agent helps you produce targets terms that matter and closes gaps a competitor is currently exploiting. The recommendation and the evidence behind it arrive together, so a sound sense of direction becomes a precise, evidence-backed call.
That connection is worth spelling out, because it’s not obvious on the surface. LLMs are not working from separate indexes in many cases. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews still draw heavily on the same crawled, ranked, and indexed web that traditional search does (Claude exclusively uses Brave web search results).
A page’s existing SERP authority and structure are leading indicators of whether a model is likely to cite it: a featured snippet, a comparison table, a term a page already ranks for. These are signs the content is already in a shape that LLMs reach for when assembling an answer. That is what Semrush data actually gives the GEO Agent to work with. Not just which keywords have volume, but also where the search landscape already rewards a structure and authority the agent can match or beat. It turns a keyword metric into a citation signal.
This is the harder half of GEO, and it is where Jasper is built to win. Monitoring can tell you that you have a visibility problem. Turning that signal into on-brand content that actually improves your standing is the harder part, and the GEO Agent does exactly that. Every draft runs through Jasper IQ, the decision intelligence layer that applies your brand voice, approved messaging, and company knowledge to the work.
This ensures that everything is accurate, well-structured, and on-brand from the first line. Volume alone does not earn a citation. That kind of content does, and real search data from Semrush makes its targeting sharper still.
Once Semrush is connected, the GEO Agent can:
The GEO Agent is fully capable of working from your Hub data and Jasper's built-in GEO best practices. Connecting Semrush adds live search data, so the priorities it sets and the content it builds reflect what is actually happening in search.
Studio Agents can use the same Semrush tools. If you build custom agents in Jasper, you can add capabilities like Keyword Research, Competitor Keyword Research, Organic Positions, and Competitor Domain Research to any agent that needs them.
Setup happens in Jasper's integration settings and takes a couple of minutes. A Jasper Admin connects Semrush at the workspace level with an API key, or turns on user-level access so each person connects their own Semrush account through OAuth.
One note worth flagging: Semrush API credits are separate from your Jasper credits, so any Semrush activity you run through Jasper draws from your connected Semrush plan.

With Semrush connected, you work with the GEO Agent the way you already do in the Hub, and it reaches for real search data as it researches and drafts. A few things you can ask it:
From there, the agent moves from insight to output: it can explain a Hub analysis in more detail, create and optimize content to improve AI visibility with Jasper IQ applied, and push drafts into the systems your team already runs on, so each piece gets an owner and a publish date.
GEO is becoming a continuous workstream, not a one-off project. A search team uses the GEO Agent to read the Hub, then asks it to surface the non-branded terms and competitor gaps worth pursuing this quarter, grounded in Semrush data. The agent drafts on-brand content against those priorities, and the team ships it into their workflow. The loop from "where are we losing" to "here is the content that fixes it" runs on evidence, not hunches.
A product marketing team watches a competitor pull ahead in AI answers for a core category term. They ask the GEO Agent which keywords that competitor ranks for that they do not, then have it build comparison and definition content aimed squarely at those gaps, on-brand through Jasper IQ. The response is targeted at the terms actually shaping the category conversation.
A demand gen team planning a content push uses the agent to size real search volume and difficulty before committing, so effort goes to topics that can move visibility, rather than ones that read well in a brief. Every piece is built to be cited, then routed into the campaign workflow for review and publication.
Search is splitting into two motions simultaneously: the results page buyers have always known, and the AI answer that now sits above it. Winning both takes a strong view of what to prioritize, real data about what people are actually searching, and a way to turn both into content your brand can stand behind.
The GEO Agent and GEO Hub give you the first and third today. Connecting Semrush adds the second. Together, they move AI visibility from something you monitor to something you steer, one on-brand, well-sourced piece at a time.
No. The GEO Agent and Studio Agents are fully functional on their own, working from your Hub data and Jasper's built-in GEO expertise. Connecting Semrush grounds their research in live keyword, competitive, and SERP data for sharper, evidence-backed recommendations.
A Jasper Admin connects it under Settings, either at the workspace level with a Semrush API key or by turning on user-level access, so each person connects their own account through OAuth. Full steps are in the Help Center.
Semrush API credits are separate from your Jasper credits. When you run Semrush activity through Jasper, those actions draw from your connected Semrush plan's credits, so you should track your usage there. Separately, any credit-consuming actions you take within Jasper will draw from your Jasper credits.
Yes. Studio Agents can add Semrush tools such as Keyword Research, Competitor Keyword Research, Organic Positions, and Competitor Domain Research from the agent configuration.
Keyword discovery with search volume and difficulty, volume and competition data for specific keywords, keyword gaps between two domains, and the domains, URLs, and SERP features ranking for a given keyword.
