An average of 61.5% of companies between 11-1000 employees currently use generative AI in the workplace while those with 1-10-people have 30% adoption and those with 1,001 employees and above have 39 percent.
AI’s perceived impact on leadership positions is split among VPs: 40% believe it threatens their roles and 40% feel the opposite. Freelancers and solopreneurs follow closely behind VPs in this internal conflict. In contrast, c-suite leaders display the highest level of confidence as 79% believe that the technology can’t replace them.
Almost half (43.8%) of non-gen AI users said budget was their company's biggest obstacle to adoption. That challenge was followed by quality concerns and skepticism of the technology overall, which accounted for 35.1% and 30.2% of the biggest hesitations non-users noted.
The top five gen AI workplace uses are creative writing, email marketing, idea generation, blog posts, and product content. Users rank creativity as the top skill for efficient use, followed by prompt engineering, strategy, and editing.
